Confession: I don’t need much convincing to go get coffee. Add a little fall weather, a seasonal drink, and the promise of discovering a new local favorite? Music to my ears.
Liberty Hill has some fun spots to get your caffeine fix, and fall is the perfect excuse to turn your usual coffee run into a mini adventure. So grab your favorite coffee-loving friend, prepare your caffeine tolerance accordingly, and let’s crawl our way through Liberty Hill, one cup at a time.
First Up: Forrest Coffee
Best For: The Slow Saturday Sipper.
Some coffee runs are meant to be quick. This isn’t necessarily one of them.
Forrest Coffee House, right in the heart of Liberty Hill, has that cozy, welcoming feel that makes you want to settle in instead of grabbing your drink and immediately heading back to the car. With indoor seating and outdoor space, it’s a great place to catch up with a friend, get a little work done, or simply enjoy your coffee without checking the clock every five minutes.
And the menu? You’ve got all the classics: lattes, cappuccinos, cortados, drip coffee, cold brew, and more. But we’re here for the fall vibes, so there’s one item that immediately caught our attention: pumpkin bread. 🎃
Because if we’re going to call this a coffee crawl, we’re going to need snacks. That’s just the rule.
Try this: Your favorite latte + a slice of pumpkin loaf.
The vibe: Cozy, casual, and very much “let’s sit here a little longer.”
Next Stop: Mojo Coffee
Best For: The Fall Flavor Adventurer
If Forrest is your slow-and-sip stop, Mojo Coffee is where things get a little more interesting.
Their fall lineup is basically a choose-your-own-adventure for your caffeine order. You’ve got the Pumpkin Spice Latte for the PSL loyalists, but you can also branch out with a Pumpkin Swirl Oatmilk Latte, Autumn Breeze Chai Tea, or Witches’ Brew Cold Brew.
Feeling festive? There’s a Hocus Pocus Breve and Jack O’ Lantern Frost.
Feeling like dessert should be involved? Say hello to Butter Beer with Cookie Butter Cold Foam.
And then there’s the Pumpkin Pie Cold Foam and Cookie Butter Cold Foam, because apparently regular coffee wasn’t doing enough this fall.
Honestly, this is where I’d recommend bringing a friend and ordering different drinks. You know… for research purposes.
Try this: Pick the seasonal drink that sounds the most unlike your usual order. This is a coffee crawl, after all. Live a little.
The vibe: Creative, seasonal, and for the person who reads the entire menu before ordering.
And Then… We Have to Talk About Michelle’s
Best For: Coffee + Something Sweet People
Technically, Michelle’s Patisserie isn’t a traditional coffee shop. But we’re not letting technicalities stand between us and pastries. Because if we’re talking about a fall coffee crawl and there’s a bakery involved, we’re making room.
Located on Main Street in Liberty Hill, Michelle’s Patisserie is known for macarons, scones, cookies, cupcakes, pastries, sandwiches, and other very convincing reasons to say, “Well, I guess we need something to eat, too.”
This is the stop where your coffee crawl can become a pastry crawl, and frankly, I see no reason to stop it.
Try this: Pick the pastry you can’t stop thinking about. You know the one.
The vibe: Sweet, charming, and “I only came in for one thing.” (You did not come out with one thing.)
Pumpkin Spice or Something Different?
Let’s settle an important fall question: Are you team pumpkin spice?
If yes, this is your season. Look for pumpkin, cinnamon, maple, chai, and other fall-inspired flavors popping up on local menus. But if pumpkin spice isn’t your thing, don’t worry. A good fall coffee menu has plenty of options beyond the PSL, like brown sugar, caramel, vanilla, cinnamon, mocha, or a perfectly made cold brew.
And honestly? There’s no wrong answer.
Now, Go Find Your Favorite
One of my favorite things about living and working around Liberty Hill is getting to discover the local places that give the community its personality. And sometimes, finding a new favorite coffee spot is as simple as taking a different turn and saying, “Let’s try this one.”
So this fall, grab your coffee-loving crew, support a local business, and enjoy a little Liberty Hill exploring along the way.
And if you’re thinking about making Liberty Hill home or you’re already here and wondering what else is worth discovering, I’d love to help you get to know the area. Reach out anytime, and let’s talk about what makes Liberty Hill the right fit for you.
Happy sipping! ☕🍂
