There’s something about the Fourth of July in Central Texas that just feels different.
Maybe it’s the way neighbors start setting out lawn chairs hours before the fireworks begin. Maybe it’s the kids riding decorated bikes through neighborhood parades, the smell of barbecue in the air, or the way everyone seems to slow down just enough to appreciate the moment. Out here in Liberty Hill, Leander, Georgetown, and Cedar Park, Independence Day feels less like a holiday and more like a tradition woven into the fabric of our communities.
And this year feels even bigger.
In 2026, we’re celebrating America’s 250th birthday – a once-in-a-lifetime milestone – and the communities I serve are going all out. If you’re wondering where to celebrate this year, here’s my guide to some of the best Fourth of July events happening right here in the heart of Central Texas.
Liberty Hill Independence Day Spectacular: Friday, July 3, 2026
As someone who lives and works in Liberty Hill, I can tell you this is one of my favorite community traditions every year.
The Liberty Hill Independence Day Spectacular takes place Friday, July 3rd from 6 to 10 p.m. at Liberty Hill Middle School, and it’s the kind of event that reminds you why so many people fall in love with this town.
From the free Kids Zone and the famous real snowball fight (yes, real snow in Texas in July) to pie-eating contests, hot dog contests, and live music, this event feels like classic small-town Texas at its best. And when the fireworks begin at 9:45 p.m., it’s pure magic.
If you’re newer to Liberty Hill, this is one of the best ways to feel connected to the community.
Leander Liberty Fest: Friday, July 3, 2026
Leander always puts on a great show, but this year is especially exciting.
For America’s 250th anniversary, Liberty Fest is introducing a 300-drone synchronized light show, something completely new for our area. That starts at 9 p.m. over Devine Lake Park, followed by the traditional fireworks show at 9:45 p.m.
Earlier in the day, there’s a bike and pedestrian parade, which always feels like the perfect kickoff to the holiday weekend.
I love Leander because it blends that growing-city energy with strong community roots, and events like this are a big part of what makes it special.
Georgetown Sertoma July 4th Celebration: Saturday, July 4, 2026
Georgetown knows how to do an all-day celebration.
Held at San Gabriel Park, this event starts at 11 a.m. and goes all the way through the fireworks finale at 9:30 p.m.
There’s live music, arts and crafts booths, food vendors, amusement rides, and one of the sweetest traditions of the day: the Kiddie Parade, where kids decorate bikes, wagons, and scooters in red, white, and blue.
Georgetown always has such a charming, historic feel, and this event captures it perfectly.
Cedar Sparktacular: Saturday, July 4, 2026
If you want a bigger festival atmosphere, Cedar Park’s Cedar Sparktacular is always a great option.
Held at Milburn Park from 5 to 11 p.m., it’s packed with carnival rides, inflatables, food trucks, live music, and fireworks at 9:30 p.m.
What I appreciate most is how thoughtfully they organize it, from family-friendly entertainment to sensory-friendly spaces for kids who may need a quieter experience.
It’s one of the largest celebrations in the area for good reason.
Why I Love Living Here
One of the things I get to hear often as a Realtor is how surprised people are by the sense of community they find after moving here.
Whether it’s Liberty Hill, Leander, Georgetown, or Cedar Park, these aren’t just places on a map… they’re communities where people show up for each other. At school events. At local businesses. At neighborhood festivals. And especially on the Fourth of July.
That’s one of the reasons I love helping people find their place here.
Real estate has never just been about square footage to me. It’s about helping people find the lifestyle, community, and everyday moments that make a place feel like home. And honestly, there’s something pretty special about living somewhere that still knows how to celebrate together.
If you’re spending the holiday here for the first time, welcome. If you’ve been here for years, I hope this gives you one more reason to love where you live.
From my home to yours, I hope you have a safe, joyful, and memorable Fourth of July. Contact me today if I can help you or someone you know with real estate.
